Great - peaceful- get a way
Stayed at Ms Bee Haven. Great location and every amenity that you need. Great area to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life! Susan is a fantastic hostess and very easy to reach! Close to Boone for a day trip.

Great graduation weekend
The house was everything we were hoping for. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and stocked with everything we could possibly need—from kitchen essentials to cozy blankets. The views were stunning, and we especially loved relaxing on the patio each evening.

Fantastic experience
Our young family had an incredible July visit here. The mountain views from the house and porches are incredibly beautiful, featuring amazing sunsets, wildlife below and the relaxing sounds of nearby river. Nice hiking trails and swimming holes are proximate, along with the refreshing community pool, playground, tennis court - making the house centrally located to everything on Powder Horn Mtn you'd want to experience. The house itself was ideal blend of modern and comfortable with mountain charm. The property manager, Susan Chaney, was highly responsive, attentive, and went the extra mile in ways such as helping our guests who had car trouble by coming to the driveway and assisting herself. We would highly recommend and imagine the views only get more scenic in the fall!

Rustic & Relaxing
Very nice property inside a fantastic community that has lots of trails, campgrounds, and outdoor amenities. While the property doesn't front on a stream / creek you can get to a community campground area with a short walk away. Great for pets too. Property has plenty of space. Was clean and tastefully furnished inside. Easy to work with property manager.

Weekend family getaway
Clean, easy access, great views, comfortable and truly pet friendly.
Fireplace was awesome, they delivered wood for us. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook for a finally of 5. Blankets to put on furniture so our pups could snuggle with us. Walking trails to the river. Property management was helpful and kind. Would love to come back again!

Beautiful Cabin
We had a great time at this cabin! Spotless! Plenty of room, a beautiful place indeed! Susan, the property manager, is very nice and professional, and willing to help. Everyone in our family loved the house, especially the children enjoyed the downstairs area. Highly recommend this house!

Peaceful Retreat!
This place was exactly what I was looking for in my plan of taking a peaceful solo retreat! The view was amazing, and the fact that their are 3 levels of porches is incredible, some covered too so rain is not an issue. The accommodations in itself we're wonderful. Very welcoming atmosphere, felt right at home. They are dog friendly and had blankets to cover furniture for the dog. I would recommend backing into the driveway, backing out probably be a bit tricky. It does take a good 20-30 minutes to get to a store or bigger town. Not a big deal necessarily, but just plan accordingly. Fully enjoyed the stay and would absolutely plan a visit back in the future!

Off The Beaten Path...
We were looking to get away from the daily grind and wanted something low key due to the pandemic. Husband and kids were skeptical at first but ended up throughly enjoying themselves. Weather was perfect. Most days we had the pool to ourselves. Access to the Blue Ridge Parkway was extremely close. The adults enjoyed the wrap around porch for some R&R while the kids loved having their own space downstairs. We had to reach out to the property manager for a maintenance issue. Response time from both property manager and maintenance manager were lightening fast and went above and beyond to rectify the concern. Definitely five star service from both of them. Looking forward to booking again!

Quiet and remote!
Overall the house is as it's portrayed. Very nice inside and remote with beautiful mountain views from the decks. House was clean and the kitchen was full with all the utensils/dishes you need. Lots of wildlife. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Notes for future renters:
*Internet is very slow (satellite) so don't plan on a "working vacation". Kids won't be able to stream content with any satisfaction (lots of buffering and quality will be poor due to slowness).
*TV-while it is listed as an amenity that literally means there are TV's. No live TV package (that I could make work). They do have Netflix and Amazon Prime to watch so be prepared to binge watch shows during your down time.

Notes for the management company:
*Kitchen refrigerator needs repair. While the temp gauge says 34 it's more like 44 to 50. Drinks were barely cool and thankfully we noticed this the first day and moved our perishable foods to the basement refrigerator.
*Slider door locks - at least 2 of them do not latch. Everyone travels with valuable items (phones, computers etc) that they want to keep secured.
*Oven needs to be checked. Tried to use it and after 20 mins it still wouldn't heat up to the temp I needed so I turned it off (I've never seen a gas oven take so long). Also, while warming up an odd smell was coming from it. Wasn't gas thankfully, but concerning nonetheless.
*"Living room" bathroom toilet - needs a new "flapper". It runs every 10-20 mins and typically that's the issue.
*Upstairs bathroom - might want to have the sink drain checked (dreadfully slow while draining). Toilet seat is hanging on by a thread and needs to be replaced.

To end on a positive note - would we stay here again, yes. I listed the issues for the management company in our review because we didn't want to be bothered by repair people during our vacation. I also feel by listing them here they can't be ignored as an email can be.

Enjoy your
